LOUIS is a tool that supports academic teachers to articulates learning outcomes for competences general academic and personal competences. It deconstructs broad competences like ‘critical thinking’ into more tangible element and describes students’ competence in these from lower to higher levels of proficiency and complexity.

LOUIS is based on the VALUE approach developed by the American Association of Universities & Colleges AACU. Aurora uses LOUIS with full support of AAC&U.

The tool is currently available in English, German, and Italian. We are working on Czech translation.
