Description
The History education and research is distinguishing itself with an approach in which European history is not the obvious starting point, and which includes long-term perspectives. The department’s research is organised primarily in the VU’s Interfaculty Research Institute for Culture, Cognition, History and Heritage, CLUE+. Professors, academic staff and PhD students pursue interdisciplinary collaboration, embedded in the research programmes of the various chairs.
