The AURORA Expert and Support Center on “Campus Sustainability” provides access to expertise and showcases good practices of sustainability at universities. The focus is on the areas covered by the AURORA Sustainable Campus Action Plan, namely “Buildings and Energy Efficiency”, “Energy Demand and Production”, “Mobility”, “Water, Waste Water and Waste”, “Procurement”, “Accessibility”, “Biodiversity” and “Monitoring & Reporting”.
The cooperation of experts from the AURORA Universities enables the Expert and Support Center to cover the wide area of sustainability on university campuses and harness experiences from very different universities. This enables the AURORA universities to learn from each other and collectively improve sustainability by preparing respective policies, conducting appropriate measures and implementing effective systems for monitoring and reporting.
Aurora is a partnership of like-minded and closely collaborating research‑intensive European universities, who use their academic excellence to drive societal change.
