Educational hubs
Aurora Hubs serve as transdisciplinary platforms for the cooperation of students, researchers, teachers, administrators and internal / external stakeholders from across the Aurora universe of European universities and their respective academic ecosystems. These hubs are testbeds for new forms of teaching, learning, research and outreach. This means, for instance, that
- Sustainability & Climate Change hub works on the scalability of learning units and the junior-research-to-innovation-pipeline
- Digital Society & Global Citizenship hub works on viable paths towards a rebuilding of higher education, with the course “A Broader Mind” as one of its signature pieces
- Health & Well-being hub has identified vulnerability as one of the most effective thematic nodes for the improvement of joint learning. Together with the culture hub it is also building a track record of learning units on healthy cities.
- Culture: Identities & Diversities hub cooperates with the sustainability hub, the Aurora recognition team and the digital campus and mobility team to develop and issue micro-credentials and to make them joint and stackable.
- Social Entrepreneurship & Innovation hub pursues innovative, sustainable business models designed to solve urgent social and environmental problems
- Peace Education hub brings together academics from across disciplines so that our universities can play a leading role in ensuring conflict transformation, just and lasting peace, and societal resilience
