Projects
Aurora projects turn our shared ambitions into action. They bring together students, academics, professional staff and external partners from across the Aurora alliance to develop innovative approaches to education, research, innovation and societal engagement. Funded through a range of European and national programmes, Aurora projects strengthen collaboration and create lasting impact across our universities and beyond.
Aurora received a significant boost in 2020 when it became one of the 41 European University alliances. As such, we receive financial support from the European Commission through the Erasmus+ and the Horizon2020 Programme. The Aurora European University programme is the result of the shared ambition and endeavour of our students, academics, university leaders, and administrators.
Aurora Projects
Aurora projects bring our shared strategy to life. Coordinated by Aurora or its member universities, they are funded through programmes such as Erasmus+, Horizon Europe and other European and national funding schemes, supporting collaboration in education, research, innovation and societal engagement.
Other Projects
Alongside Aurora-led initiatives, the Aurora alliance also participates in a range of related projects that originate from within our network but are developed and coordinated outside the core Aurora framework. These spin-off projects are typically led by individual partner universities or external consortia, with Aurora institutions contributing as collaborators. They are funded through separate European, national or sector-specific programmes, rather than through Aurora’s central funding streams. Together, they extend Aurora’s reach, bringing in additional expertise, partnerships and funding opportunities while supporting complementary goals in education, research and innovation.
