Aims of the Programme The course aims to strengthen students’ ability to communicate sustainability related research to non-expert audiences. Participants develop skills in science communication, storytelling, teamwork, and public speaking while learning how to make complex research engaging, accessible, and relevant. Content & Methods The programme combines expert input, coaching sessions, peer learning, collaborative feedback, practical communication exercises, and a final live 3-Minute Thesis event with a jury and audience participation. Key Topics Students explore sustainability and science communication, information literacy, storytelling, visual communication, teamwork, constructive feedback, public engagement, and presentation techniques. The seminar culminates in a 3-Minute Thesis presentation, where participants communicate their research in a clear and compelling way. Microcredentials This course can be combined with “800.872 Lecture series on Climate Protection” to form the Aurora micro credential “Climate Action Sustainability Communication”.
