Aims of the Programme The course aims to provide students with an interdisciplinary understanding of Europe by exploring its historical development, institutions, processes of integration, and contemporary global challenges. It encourages critical thinking about different narratives of Europe and develops the ability to analyze European issues from historical, political, legal, social, and cultural perspectives. Content & Methods The course is delivered through online lectures and interactive exercises, including document and source analysis, group discussions in breakout rooms, flipped classroom activities, and preparatory readings. Assessment is based on a multiple-choice examination. Key Topics The programme covers the history of Europe and the European Union, European integration and governance, migration and mobility, war and conflict, inclusion and exclusion, media and climate politics, as well as representations of Europe in literature, film, art, and everyday culture.
