Interested in the power of location-based data? Join Introduction to GIS and discover how Geographic Information Systems (GIS) are used to collect, manage, analyse, and visualise spatial information.
Through a practical and engaging introduction, you will explore how GIS helps reveal patterns, support decision-making, and address real-world challenges in fields such as urban planning, environmental management, public policy, and business. Whether you are new to GIS or considering further study, this course provides an accessible foundation in the concepts and applications of spatial data analysis.
For whom?
This introductionary course is open to third-year Bachelor’s and Master’s students. An affinity for computers and bespoke applications is highly recommended, just as an interest in maps.
