Imaging Center Essen (IMCES)
Description
The Light Microscopy Unit of the Imaging Center Essen runs state-of-the-art widefield, confocal, superresolution, multiphoton and light-sheet microscopes and a fast slide scanner. It also operates an S2 cell sorter, a whole-body fluorescence and luminescence imager and a pre-clinical ultrasound. The Electron Microscopy Unit operates a 120 kV TEM with tomography options and a dual-beam SEM that can be used for FIB/SEM tomography, array tomography and cryo-SEM. Comprehensive sample preparation equipment is available for both imaging modalities.
