Between 21 – 24 October 2024, join like-minded researchers in Europe’s industrial power house: The Ruhrgebiet (Germany), where innovation meets tradition! Participate in the p2i: In Action event, hosted by The University of Duisburg-Essen in Duisburg, Germany to explore and learn about innovation and entrepreneurship. Get inspired, work on (your) business ideas, learn new skills, and connect with like-minded researchers and business experts. The event combines interactive workshops, teamwork, and panel discussions. You’ll leave with new connections, renewed motivation and confidence, and skills to increase your research’s impact.

Participants will be exposed to an entrepreneurial way of thinking and learn the process to develop ideas into potential business ventures and how to communicate these through interactive team work sessions. There will be plenty of opportunities to network.

The participants will gain business knowledge and a set of business skills that will complement their research skills.

Through developing the skill of validating business ideas, researchers can enhance their decision-making abilities, strategic thinking, resource management, risk assessment, and adaptability, all of which can be applied in careers in and outside academia, including starting a business.

This programme is exclusively open to early career researchers (postdocs) and early career employees from p2i partner organisations. Places are sponsored by the p2i Network and available through application only. Limited places available.
